Biography 🎬
My film journey began during school holidays when I eagerly assisted the esteemed Alaine D Woolfe on the set of "Funny Face." That early exposure ignited a passion that led me to Sierra College in Sacramento, where I earned an Associates in Arts Degree in media and filmmaking (graduating on the President's Honour Roll in 1996) with dreams of becoming a Director of Photography.

Life had other plans, bringing me back to South Africa before my planned KCRA3 TV Station internship could begin. Taking advice from a seasoned crewing agent, I dove headfirst into production from the ground up. Despite starting at the bottom, I quickly proved myself, becoming South Africa's youngest Production Manager at just 20 years old.
My career flourished across diverse production environments—from the electrifying energy of live events at VWV Events (including the iconic Miss South Africa pageant) to the fast-paced world of international TV commercials in Cape Town. In 2004, Buchanan Group International recruited me to establish and expand their South African division, where I rose from Client Service Manager to Head of Production for Africa, India, and the Middle East.
After a transformative period founding Elev8Life and travelling globally, I returned to film in 2011 when I met my husband Phoenix, on a Cape Town set. Our love story led to marriage and twin blessings, Max and Angie.
I resumed my film career as a freelance Production Manager in 2020, then expanded my expertise in 2023 by working as 2nd AD with the esteemed International 1st AD John Lowe on campaigns across South Africa with Gatehouse Commercials. I subsequently joined Naobie Noisette's acclaimed Art Team, contributing to major international TV commercials for over a year.
My experience running workshops for children ages 5-12 proved invaluable when I assisted top child minder Wendy De Witt on features, and I've since worked on numerous campaigns with 99c Advertising Agency and Ackermans. Having three children of my own (teenagers Max and Angie navigating the joys of adolescence and Thorin, my awesome sidekick who often accompanies me as a junior PA on local jobs) definitely gives me an edge in child wrangling!

Today, I relish the freedom to select projects that inspire me. My cross-departmental experience has deepened my understanding of production as a whole, while my extensive work with various AI systems keeps me at the forefront of emerging technologies transforming our industry. As production workflows increasingly integrate AI for everything from pre-visualisation to post-production efficiency, I bring both traditional expertise and forward-thinking technological insight to every project.
I continue balancing my love for film with family life, bringing resilience, adaptability, and unwavering commitment to excellence to every endeavour.
